What

is

Feng

Shui?

Feng Shui literally translated means Wind and Water.  It is an ancient Chinese practice which when applied allows us to live in harmony with our surroundings.  Often referred to as the Art of Placement, Feng Shui is the study of how to manifest this harmony between the earth, our surroundings, and ourselves.

It makes us aware of the electromagnetic energy surrounding us, known as chi (energy, life force, Qi) which flows around and through every person, object and force in the universe.  This electromagnetic energy surrounding us is a constant, undeniable force in the universe.

When harnessed, it can nurture our spirit and well-being, as well as clear the way for remarkable success in every facet of our lives.  It is precisely this incredible power to shape and transform that has made Feng Shui so increasingly popular in our Western culture.  By incorporating this sacred knowledge into our lives, we can tap into abundance and prosperity on all levels.

Have you ever walked into a space that just didn’t feel right?  There is a reason why you felt uneasy and this is where Feng Shui comes into play.  It has the power to create living spaces that “feel” good to be in, look gorgeous from a design standpoint, and produce tranquility and balance within our lives.

Feng Shui is a proven ancient practice that has been used for centuries with remarkable success.

The basic tenets that provide the foundation for the art of

Feng Shui are:

  • The Theory of Chi
  • Using artful placement within our home to direct the flow of Chi
  • Yin and Yang Theory
  • Bagua Mapping
  • Five Element Theory
  • Use of the I Ching in interpreting Trigrams as they relate to the Bagua sectors

There are several schools of thought in feng shui, all of which subscribe to these basic tenets.  I am a practitioner of the Black Hat Sect (BTB), which is based on the teachings of Grand Master Lin Yun.  BTB differs from the other schools of thought in that:

*  It emphasizes the “invisible” aspects of Feng Shui: Intention, the power of mind, the link between our mind and physical environment, and how to use this link to manifest our intention.

*  It puts emphasis on the integration of Mundane and Transcendental cures through the use this intention.

*  It interprets traditional Feng Shui concepts with modern day knowledge of science, medicine, architecture and ecology.

*  Black Hat “reads the Chi” of the person and their environment.

*  The Bagua Map is an energy blueprint showing how energy flows through a physical space. In Black Hat, this map is based on the main entrance which is the mouth of chi, rather than on compass direction.

*  BTB is the first school of Feng Shui to use the Three Secret Reinforcements (a manifestation ritual that integrates mantras, mudras, and visualizations) as well as other symbolic cures.

*  Black Hat focuses as much on Transcendental rituals as it does on our physical environment.

The Black Hat Sect’s contemporary contribution to Feng Shui is undeniable, while maintaining at its core the dogma of ancient principle.  This is why I find it so applicable to our modern society and consider it to be the most compelling, relevant and comprehensive approach to the art.

Chi is everywhere around us and everything emanates chi, which directly affects us in a very tangible way.  Feng Shui has taught us that chi moves in predictable ways and when acted upon behaves in a predictable manner.

As a Feng Shui consultant, I have the ability to redirect chi so it moves in a way that will support and nurture your goals be it love, wealth, career, family, health…the possibilities are truly limitless!  When I apply Feng Shui principles to your space, you will see the process at work and feel the energy and power inherent within it.  Feng Shui will grant you a new sense of awareness and interconnectedness to your surroundings therefore fine tuning your mental, spiritual, and physical balance.

The world awaits, let Feng Shui illuminate the path!
